Are you tired of carousel horse X-stitch patterns that don't look like REAL carousel horses? Me too! I created these patterns for those of us who love carousels and want to stitch works of art, not "cotton candy" drawings.

Caveats, caveats, caveats

These cross-stitch patterns were created on PCSTITCH. You need the FREE PCSTITCH VIEWER to display and print them.

Now, that said, a word about the patterns themselves. I like lots of detail in my patterns so I created them with the maximum number of colors possible. This means that they might be more appropriate for experienced stitchers. If this does not work for you EMAIL ME and I'll try to make simpler versions for you. However fewer colors means less detail and the patterns might not work so well.

On the brighter side, there are no special stitches--these patterns require a simple "x" stitch only. If you want to add back-stitching, french knots, etc, that is entirely up to you.

The floss chart and stitching key are included with the pattern. Since the patterns themselves are quite large, you may wish to print them out, then assemble them in some manner that is convenient for you (taping, stapling, welding, whatever).

Cloth color is your choice. I recommend sticking close to the background color on the patterns.

Not scared off yet? Well then, here are the patterns! These patterns are based on photos found around the web. The images below are screen shots of the patterns themselves (in block format). These patterns are not for resale and are strictly FREE from this site. God bless the artisans who made these horses--they are true masters!

If you choose to stitch one of these patterns and actually FINISH, I would love to see the finished product. If you can, snap a digital shot of it and email it to me!

CLICK ON THE PHOTO TO DOWNLOAD THE PATTERN. MOST OF THEM ARE IN .ZIP FORMAT AND NEED TO BE UNZIPPED BEFORE THEY CAN BE LOADED INTO THE VIEWER.

This Carmel jumper was painted by the website owner. Let me know if it doesn't work for you, as it's a fairly large, complex pattern.

This is a closeup of the head of the same horse.
GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY STITCHING!
