These are friends of mine.
The guy to the left here, the one giving the artist his best smoldering look? His name is Michael. Oh...THAT Michael? Well, we're not all that sure about that just yet. As you can see from his picture, he thinks he is one hot dude.
But it's 1969, he's eighteen years old and still in high school. The chicks love him and his grades are pretty good, but that guy has problems! First of all, obviously...being an angel kind of makes life complicated anyway, but having to go to school and hide his wings really turns Mike off. His parents are really clueless about all that but they insist.
He also can't seem to keep his pants zipped and sure enough now some girl is pregnant with his baby. So it looks like Mike will have to get married and he's not too happy about that. I feel sorry for him, but he did it to himself...and to her. I hope things work out ok but how is he going to tell her that her baby is an angel?
The blond rock god with the sword to the right here is Mike's younger brother Daniel who is an angel too. He's seventeen years old but sometimes he acts twelve! But most of the time Dan is actually pretty cool though he is a bit of a nerd. He and Mike have this rock band that plays around the area on weekends so the rock god hair is important to their image. I think Daniel is a musical genius. He designs and builds keyboards, synthesizers, all kinds of technical stuff. But he can't keep his mouth shut when his brother is in trouble. Dan teases Mike pretty unmercifully sometimes.
Unlike Mike, Dan seems to have some kind of female repellent. He can't get girls to stay interested in him for too long. Maybe he's just too anxious to get to the nookie! I don't know for sure, but I think Dan is probably a bit of an introvert trying to be an extrovert. If there is any trouble around, Daniel seems to attract it and his brother must rescue him.
Together they are Michael and Daniel Wilder, and this is just the beginning of the story...
Who am I?
My name is Kathleen Esther and I am a self-published author. I live in Wisconsin, USA with my husband, two cats, four parrots and one bouncy little Pomeranian dog. During the day, I work as a cashier in a busy pharmacy or on my second job, sell vintage items on Ebay for a consignment shop. The first job is a necessity, the second one is a pleasure, but my real goal is to be a legitimately published writer.
Why self-published? Well first of all, I was far too lazy to try to get an book agent and one needs a book agent to get a book actually considered for publication. That is of course, unless I preferred to send in a manuscript for the slush pile and hope that somehow it got pulled out for perusal. Yeah, right. When submitting manuscripts for publication, the protocol is that you submit to one publisher at a time. Then the publisher has up to six months to respond. By the time I got three rejection letters, I would be 97,000 years old! So that is not a route I wanted to take.
As a result of this research, I went the self-publishing route but now after some time and consideration, I want to seriously try to get published by an actual publisher. Therefore I need to be able to convince a book agent that my little novel is worth pitching.
Admittedly, my story is not for everyone. If you are looking for non-stop action, lots of blood, guts and gore...well, hey I have some of that in there! These are angels, after all---angels are traditionally warriors, even killers.
If you think that raw unbridled sex is unacceptable, well pooh pooh on you! But the boys don't get too graphic--just normal teenage angel hormones at work.
But if you like stories centered around characters, family relationships, love and friendship, then maybe this book might be right up your alley! You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll wet the bed! Well, maybe not wet the bed, but you might wet your pants.
Mike and Dan are just two normal siblings who love each other and their families, go to school, attend church weekly and have normal teenage problems. They just happen to be mighty war angels too.
So, taking a cue from another author, I am asking you to be a friend of this page! If you click "like" and become a fan, I'll have more fuel to convince a book agent to take me on as a client. If I have 10,000 fans, how can all them be wrong? And I promise I will love each and every one of you like a long lost uncle or auntie!
So read the few lines about each brother below and if you are interested, click on the "LIKE" button! message! If you REALLY REALLY REALLY like what you read, choose a format and click on it to BUY THE SELF-PUBLISHED VERSION. Hey, I have to get some kind of sales pitch in here, didn't I?
