"Library Life" is a collection of columns written by Katie Buller Kintner and published in Associates: a Library Support Staff E-Journal. "Library Life" is not intended to be a serious view of libraries, but instead serves as a sounding board against which Katie often beats her head. Usually, there is a library in there somewhere but more often than not, Katie is just telling you about her life in general or about a topic that interests her. So sit back, relax and prepare to be mildly amused if not outright guffawing. Before you sits a collection of weirdly skewed essays just begging to be made into paper airplanes and flown into the nearest circular file. Enjoy!

Katie Buller Kintner is a career library paraprofessional, having served over 20 years in academic libraries at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Los Angeles Pierce College and the University of Illinois. She has worked in interlibrary loans, circulation, acquisitions, copy cataloging, periodicals and was queen of the xerox machines. She also collects library lore, tales of the weird, wonderful and dangerous world of libraries and has traveled the United States from coast to coast, presenting her stories. Gotta problem with that? Email Katie and tell her what you think. Also, forget the email addresses in the various columns--they're all DEAD, do you hear me, DEAD!
