Strangely enough, our MLS'd catalogers are a pretty decent bunch of human beings, each having a sense of humor and a fair amount of respect for the para-professionals who work here. Where *I* encounter socially inept behavior is from some of the *public service* librarians.

One will not acknowledge the existance of a staff person even when you're alone in an elevator with him. And that's not even counting the reference librarian who was said to have kept a live hand-grenade in his desk drawer. (Heaven forbid that you ask the wrong question at the reference desk!)
